Was on a long-term business trip in an Eastern European country.
I was incredibly excited when my trip was extended, allowing me to attend the Montreux Jazz Festival.
Whenever I felt empty after drinking, I would often rewatch Tom Misch’s performance at the festival on YouTube, and I would revisit the “Eyebrow Moon” album while watching footage of Lee So-ra’s performance at the festival filmed for ‘Begin Again’. Of course, the excellent street performances, jam sessions, and the beautiful Swiss scenery were wonderful, needless to say. I had fully anticipated that I would be forced to listen to jazz without getting drunk due to the high cost.

The problem was the unregulated atmosphere.
The smell of marijuana rising from every corner of the streets, combined with the hot and humid environment of the indoor jam session venues. At that moment, I felt as if I wanted to apply the foreign object control specifications from a highly automated production line management plan. I just decided to accept it as a realization that sometimes, a performance on video can be better than a live one.
